Don't make assumptions.
Ask for what you want. Find the courage to ask for what you want. Others have the right to tell you yes or no but you always have the right to ask.
Likewise, everybody has the right to ask you for what they want, and you have the right to say yes or no.

You know the manager and I had this discussion at work the other night. She asked if I could stay an extra hour to help out at Bar Rush and I was hestitant and she told me I could always say no. But of course I took the extra hour to help out. I am not that mean but it was the option.
