Skiing in May

Here are my lucky lucky kids who got to go skiing in May.
Their thoughtful Aunt and Uncle, who run The Mountain School
invited them to join them for a weekend at Whistler Blackcomb.

They look so beautiful.
And the mountains are so beautiful.

Amazing.

I stayed home for the Cob workshop and then it got postponed at the last minute. Oh well.

I did enjoy a very quiet introspective weekend.

They look like they are having the time of there lives up there. I have been skiing once and never got off the bunny hill so I have never went back. We went in sixth grade. I couldnt figure out how to navigate the ski's properly to get off the bunny hill.

I was much the same way until my brother took the time to give me a one on one lesson and then I "got it"!

I don't know...by May I'm so sick of snow I'm ready for summer!

Wow, you still have snow?
That is alot of snow to deal with on a day to day basis.
A week or two of snow is alot for us on the coast.

Well, it's gone in the town but there is still some at higher elevations. I just meant that we have a long, snowy winter up here, and by the time spring comes along with its thaw, I'm just looking forward to some weather that is warm and doesn't involve the white stuff.

These are gorgeous photos. It makes me want to go skiing right NOW! Even though it's a gorgeous spring day outside.
