4 Agreement Discussion Topic

On Tuesday evening when we get together, we will be considering the following quote from the book, "Voice of Knowledge" by Don Miguel Ruiz.

"Every human is an artist, a storyteller with a unique point of view.
When we see ourselves as artists, we no longer feel the need to impose our story on others or to defend what we believe. We know that every artist has the right to create his own art."

On Thursday afternoon, the volunteer facilitator picked the quote from the same book,
"I love myself unconditionally.
With my attention focused on love, I justify and explain everything I perceive through the eyes of love. This makes it easy to feel unconditional love for all of the secondary characters in my story."

Again, deeply profound. Loving myself and respecting myself has taught me how to love and respect others.

Yes,
Sometimes I read his stuff, and think, "Well, this is so simple"
But to live it deeply everyday has taken discipline and lots of reminders. And there seems to be no end to how deep I want to go.

These are both very wonderful precepts to remember, HEALING ROOM.
Thank you.

The one above sort of reminds me of TOLLE in the the development of space consciousness. If do not need to impose our story on others or defend what we believe, we are also giving others space as artists to create their own art..It is very nicely expressed by Don Miguel, and creates a lovely visual image..

Perceiving through the eyes of love..it is nice to be perceived through the eyes of love. When I have been viewed through those lens there is no diminishing and I am thankful. It helps me to remember that I am where I am because of a long journey, and others are where they are because of the place in their own journeys in whose footsteps I have not walked. I hope that people might understand that my better self might be tomorrow, but my best self is the one I've got today. I hope to remember that about others too.

I would be interested to know how folks apply these precepts to the job/ work situation where standards of performance are required.

Thank you, HEALING ROOM.

Hi,
In the workplace, my advice would be, Try it and observe the results and refine as you go.

Oh my goodness. That cat photos is priceless! Cat is an artist. Jen is an artist. I am an artist. You are an artist. We are all artists. Rock on!

This is just what I was meditating on the day you posted it! But I did not read it until today. I was talking with my daughter about how when you love yourself unconditionally, suddenly your perspective on everyone else alters, and you can effortless love them too. It's really an amazing, rather counter-intuitive process, if you ask me. At work, I find it very powerful. When I accept and love myself, and don't compare myself to anyone else, I am able to receive others without judgment too. When I'm judging myself, it prevents me from the open freedom that is necessary to love others openly.

The meeting was incredible.
We had 7 participants and we went from tears to laughter. The love in the room was tangible.
Just focusing on uncondional love as a topic brought it forward into manifestation.

Thankyou for all your thoughts here on the blog. In love, we are ALL connected.
