Yah! I had a student today!
A lovely girl from the neighbourhood (that means a 1/4 of a mile away in the country)
came to buy and paint gifts for her family. We had a great time painting and hanging out.
My daughter and I got an exceptionally good score at the river in rocks.
Did I mention I love rocks? (I guess I will have to add that to my favorite things on my blog profile.)

I've read a few of your entries and your neighbourhood sounds so peaceful and vast... I'm quite jealous of the open spaces you guys have in North America!
And I hope your chickens have recovered from the raccoon incident...

Hi Red,
Thanks for the comment. I like the open spaces too and I am very grateful to live here.
Where are you from?
I have less chickens (the raccoons killed 2) and they are doing fine now that I lock them up every night.
Oh she is adorable huh? What a greaT DAY and good on ya. How many people do you average in your studio lessons a week or so?
Oh, I like rocks, too. Especially those flat, flinty-looking ones.
Candy,
I average about 1 per week. Sometimes several people and sometimes not a soul for weeks.
Heather,
The flat ones that I find, the ones that are really flat and are worn by the water, are rare to find, so I am partial to them. Also because they make awesome stepping stones, retaining walls and/or platforms for ceramic art.
